ExpressKeys and Touch Strip(s)

Intuos3's new ExpressKeys and Touch Strip(s) provide substantial productivity enhancements that greatly speed up workflow in a wide variety of graphics intensive applications. An integrated set of customizable ExpressKeys default to keyboard modifiers Ctrl & Alt for Windows / Command & Option for Macintosh, plus Shift and Space, they are "chordable" - multiple keys can be held down simultaneously for even greater efficiency; and all these are easily customized in the Wacom tablet control panel. In addition, the new finger-sensitive Touch Strip(s) allow users to zoom, scroll or perform custom keystroke actions like changing brush size in Adobe® Photoshop®. All this can now be done without having to move to the keyboard by the touch of a finger on the working surface.

ExpressKeys and Touch Strip(s) are extremely useful for non-dominant hand control in Photoshop and other applications.

- Each ExpressKey can be customized to perform a modifier function, issue a keystroke, right click or hold the pressure-level setting of the pen constant. - The Touch Strip(s) operate in three different ways: 1) Slide a finger up or down - similar to rolling a fingerwheel on a mouse. 2) Tap at either end to issue the function one step at a time. 3) Hold a finger at either end to continuously scroll.

Patented Pen Technology

The Intuos3 pen is cordless and battery-free for reliable and consistent operation. Both the pen tip (A), and eraser (B), feature 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity for precise image editing, accurate selections, and the finely controlled application of effects and filters.

Ergonomics is particularly crucial for graphics and imaging users. The redesigned Intuos3 Grip Pen is finely balanced, with a large grip area (C) for enhanced comfort. The contours have been refined with a more pronounced shoulder helping to further reduce grip pressure.

DuoSwitch

A two way switch (D) on the pen that is programmable through the Wacom tablet control panel. You can assign independent actions to each end including double-click, right-click or shortcut keys. The DuoSwitch is also removable, and an optional rubber grip is available without the DuoSwitch hole.

Tool ID - Customize all your devices

When you use multiple Intuos3 pens and/or mouse, the tablet will recognize each device and reconfigure its settings, saving time in productive environments.
